Koky Saly was born in Siem Reap Cambodia in 1976. He spent his first three years in prison with his mother.He escaped the war with most of his family and traveled to Australia where he graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with an Honours Degree in Media Arts. In 2003 he was selected as a finalist in the Photo-Technica 'New Australian Photo-Artist'. He has exhibited throughout Australia and Asia. Currently he works and lives in Tokyo, running a small charity fighting for the rights of children in Cambodia.
